"Hungarian voters turned out in greater numbers than ever and decided to entrust the government to Péter Magyar. The Tisza party, founded barely two years ago, obtained more than fifty percent of the votes, while Viktor Orbán's Fidesz received less than 40 percent. So far, the Tisza Party has won 95 of the 106 constituencies, and the Fidesz candidate has won 11. The Tisza Party is expected to obtain 138 seats in parliament, the largest number of seats a party has achieved since the regime change. Fidesz representatives are expected to receive 54 seats."

The question now is not whether the Orban era ends, Magyar will have a majority greater than two thirds that will allow him to dismantle the system. The question is whether with the fall of Orban, European ultra populism has reached the beginning of its decline. Meloni's setback in the last referendum already pointed in this direction. Next stops: local by-elections in Britain and regional parliaments in Scotland and Andalusia.
